About Us
Active Chiropractic has been treating people in Saco, Maine since 2003. We focus on improving your health so that pain and illness are less likely in the first place, rather than waiting to treat them once they arrive.

Prevention first
Conventional medicine largely sets out to treat disease once it has occurred. We work the other way round: improve your health, and you reduce the risk of pain and illness arriving at all. Most people would rather be well than be treated, and that is a large part of why practices like ours have grown.
For some patients, chiropractic care is a return to something familiar — a level of health they once had and have since lost. For others it is somewhere they have never been. Either way the plan is built around you rather than handed out ready-made, using the least invasive approach that will do the job.
How we work
What care here involves, whatever you have come in with.
- A chiropractic examination before any treatment begins
- On-premise spinal X-ray and analysis when it is needed
- Subluxation detection using surface EMG and thermal scans
- A detailed report of findings — we explain what we found before care starts
- A plan built for you, not a fixed package
- Drug-free, non-surgical treatment
